Batman Arkham Origins Plot On Christmas Eve, Batman intervenes in a jailbreak at Blackgate Penitentiary led by Black Mask, who executes Police Commissioner Loeb and escapes. Left to battle the hired assassin Killer Croc, Batman prevails but learns that Croc is the first of eight of the world's deadliest assassins in Gotham City vying to claim a $50 million bounty placed on Batman's head by Black Mask. Hoping to learn Black Mask's location, Batman tracks the Penguin to his ship. There, he defeats assassins Deathstroke and Electrocutioner and learns from the Penguin that Black Mask was purportedly murdered at an apartment complex. Batman investigates the murder scene, learning that the victim was not Black Mask and that the murder may have involved a criminal known as "the Joker". Needing more information to solve the case, Batman breaks into the GCPD to access its national criminal database. While escaping, he encounters Captain James Gordon, who is...

In the present, five years after the fall of the Regime, Batman and the Insurgency are attempting t...

Injustice: God Among Us

Image
Injustice: God Among Us The campaign of  Injustice: Gods Among Us  was written by NetherRealm Studios in collaboration with DC Comics' writers. [18]  Described by NetherRealm as "Story Mode 3.0", the  Injustice  campaign was approached similarly to  Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe  and the 2011  Mortal Kombat  reboot through the use of a cinematic narrative versus the traditional ladder-based single-player experience. [19]  According to lead designer John Edwards, the plot is meant to rationalize the game's fighting mechanics between characters that would not normally fight one another and explain how Batman can "stand toe-to-toe" with Superman. [18]  Writers  Justin Gray  and  Jimmy Palmiotti  served as story consultants to ensure that the comic characters kept their proper voices in  Injustice . In an alternate universe,  Joker  tricks  Superman  into killing his pregnant wi...

DC vs Mortal Kombat

Synopsis This non-canon story is (or would be) set after the events of Outworld invasion. Around the same time as Shao Kahn's defeat,  Superman  had just defeated  Darkseid ; however, Darkseid and Shao Kahn's defeat somehow caused them to merge into a single being known as  Dark Kahn  and cause the kombatants & DC heroes/villians to be consumed by a pure  Rage  and fight against each other. As a result, the two universes began to merge. Eventually, one member from each side remained: Raiden and Superman. Upon discovering that they both have a common enemy (Dark Kahn), they team up to defeat Dark Kahn, causing him to split back into Shao Kahn and Darkseid, on opposite universes. Shao Kahn would be trapped in the fragmented Phantom Zone, while Darkseid was punished by the Elder Gods and sent to the Netherrealm. Introduction Shao Kahn  has recently failed in his latest bid to merge  Earthrealm  with  Outworld . As...

Mortal Kombat 11 KRONIKA'S REVENGE The entity Kronika is somehow even higher on the food chain than the Elder Gods and is the mother of Shinnok and Cetrion, the Goddess of Virtue. Kronika controls the sands of time and wishes for reality to favor both her children, meaning endless conflict between good and evil through the ages. But now Shinnok's beheading has upset the balance in favor of good. While Kronika can manipulate lives of humans, her powers don't work on gods. She has, in fact, been trying to perfect reality by creating timeline after timeline, only for Raiden to screw everything up for her no matter how hard she tries. In many of these timelines, she manipulates Liu Kang into fighting Raiden, as the two of them together are a potential threat to her. Meanwhile, Raiden led the Special Forces into a mission in the Netherrealm to cripple Liu Kang and Kitana's forces and destroy their castle base. While successful, it came at the cost of Sony...

Mortal Kombat 10

Mortal Kombat 10 THE NETHERREALM INVASION REDUX The odds were worse than the original timeline’s war against Shinnok. Not only were the good guys reduced to just Raiden, Fujin, Johnny, Sonya, and Kenshi, but the bad guys had a bunch of resurrected and corrupted heroes on their side. Despite all that, Johnny Cage still defeated Shinnok. It turned out that Johnny was part of a special bloodline of forgotten warriors bred by the gods to be awesome fighters. When Sonya was in peril, Johnny’s genetic powers kicked in and he was able to overpower Shinnok and imprison him into his own magical amulet. Quan Chi mortally wounded Johnny and tried to recreate him as one of his revenant soldiers. Raiden used his own magic to combat it and not only did it save Johnny’s life, but it returned all the other revenant warriors in the room to regular human form. This included Jax, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero (Kuai Lang, as a human being). Raiden finally had a way of saving his fallen friends fr...
